15 weeks and little flutters...

Hmmm... felt like d litle baby ws kicking.... hmmm...nt sure la.. bcz tis d first tm i feel it kan... bet anyway.. feels like sumtin popping .....mayb like bowel movement.... hmm... nt sure... but its constant....spcly aftr food.. u noty baby!!! am sure ur so uncomfortable cz mama is alwiz eating.. hahha.. poor baby...

Fear...

Hubby came back home today n told me dat one of hs frens wife miscaried at 20 weeks... n tetiba teringat one of my kazin sis yg miscaried at 18 weeks n 24 weeks .. tis is so scary... one of my blog fren was admitted to undrgo cervical cerclage... oh god ... y do we have to go tru all tis... n some of them can have 15 kids non stop those days n having to wrk really hard to make money.... n on d otr side... we have to spend so much money to have a baby n total bed rest cz of d high risk pregnancy....I really hope my litlle baby is fine n healthy inside....

N my new discovery dat my hubby mite b a thalassemia gene carrier.... hmmmm...... hes suffering frm mild anemia.... thank god u did d bloodtest aby... nw i gota make sure that im nt a carrier as well... otrwise i cud b in d high risk group as well.... i muz tell tis 2 d dr on my next visit...

13 weeks and insomia..

Finally i have entered my second trimester... little i had faith dat i will reach ts far.. thanks to d all mighty god's blessings. I still have headache wic is managable wit 500mg of panadol.... i hardly had headache all ts years... probably 2/3 times a year... n nw it seem like a daily routine.. n my sleep patern is haywire.. thank god im nt working... so i can doze off any time during d day o nite..nothing seem to help me sleep... nt sure wat to blame... d calcium supplements o my hormones... d only thing worked so far was shopping... hmmm.. takkanla wana go shopping everyday kan!! n d best part is dat my husband mimics all my symptom... bt i think he has it at worst cz he feels like vomiting evry morning, headache, hungry all d tm , insomnias  n d growing belly... hahaha.... Cauvade symptom.... so funny.. Mayb sebab i once told him dat some husband's will have phantoms pregnancy wen d wife is pregnant... then he terus have all d symptoms... man r so funny... anyway, id b glad if he is willing to tc of d baby at night after d baby is born wt hs fake pregnancy n i can get my beauty sleep.... hahahhaha!!

Baby was fine during d scan... had d down syndrome test n nuchal scan ts time... during d scan, d sonographer looks fr d space at d back of d neck... it shudnt b more than 3mm.. nt sure mm ke cm....mine was less than 1.25..anyway, baby was bz positioning itself sebab uncomfortable... kept moving d neck dat d sonographer had to wait fr sm tm... n moving its hands n legs as usual... such a joy to luk at these on screen. Dr said baby is developing well n healthy. he also started me on some calcium supp n neurogain (DHA n EPA) fr baby's optimal growth. I asked him several common Q during pregnancy like, can i travel? Can v b together again? Can i resume doin housework?(wic i already started long ago).... he said sure.. go ahead.. hehhehe... Also had informed him about a small patch of rash on my tummy n my headache.. he asked me to take 2 tab of panadol n asked me to do light exercise for my insomnia... n take lotsa rest. n hubby had to interrupt n say dat d only thing im doin at home is resting...bla bla bla....then whose doin all d hse work n cooking fr u baby?? hmmm.... i only gained abt 200grm tis tm... wic is very unlikely bcz im alwiz eating.. d only thing dat constantly keeps me goin is food.. i eat every 2 hours... hmmmm.... hope i dun put too much of baby weight...neway,,,, baby, mama luv u... till then tc ait...c u on 17th week checkup ok....mwah!!!

12 weeks n still hungry!!!

Im almost 3 mnths now!! am glad dat d waiting period is finally over.. bt guess i shud take things easy fr d next 2 o 3 mnths...Hubby went to China on business purpose n im left rotting at my mother in law's hse... So dead bored dat i ended up cleaning d hse junks.. saw sum frozen lizards dead in d freezer.. poor guys!! din bring enug cloths fr teir vacation... hahaha!!!

Anyway, i was telling my husband d other day dat i cud feel d heartbeat of d baby wen i put my palms on my tummy....n tol him to feel it.. he said he cant feel anything... hmmm!!! Im probably hallucinating.. o probably im rite n he is wrong..

I am still hungry for d time being... but i need not wake up in d middle of d night to grab sumtin to eat... no cravings.. i like variety of food.. but in small quantities.. maybe i just nibble a little of each... started drinking Anmum... i think Choc flavor tastes btr than d original.. yuks!!! I have headache now and then... eventho i soak my head wt minyak cap kapak... i need to grab those panadols... read it on d bet dat its safe to take panadols during pregncy....but its my savior.. i also hv some swollen feet... nt too much bt i cud c d swelling... hmmm... n my baby bumb is shwin already... thanks 2 d massive food ive been eating... ok vats, u shud really stop eating... n d next minute im digging sumtin to eat.. haiz!!!

i din c my little baby fr 2 weeks already... my ceckup is nex wek...ok baby, mama will c u soon.. till then mama will send lotsa hugs n kisses to u....

10 weeks update..

Yesterday was my 10 weeks check-up.... n guess wat i saw...!!! hahaha!!

My little angel was happily dancing inside... it was like bz shaking its hands n legs... probably felt cold due to d gel dat was applied during d ultrasound... I cant believe my eyes!! hmmm... truly a miracle.. I hope u dun dance lik dat wen ur out ok..probably i wont have d energy to run after u then.. Hubby was smiling again lukin at his baby's moves.. laughed till my belly was shaking... n d image of d ultrasound disappeared.. n d sonographer told me not to move.. hahaha!! padan muka.... But baby, ur so notty.. mama din expect this from u at this stage of development.. 

Symptoms

Hungry as usual... constipated.. i really need to do sumtin abt ths.. n...........very warm.. nt sure if its d weather o just me.. n spotting... last week spotted red clots (Sorry TMI) n rushed to Sunway Med Emergency dptmnt... Scan revealed baby's heartbeat was fine n happily swimming.. but cudnt hear d heartbeat sebab its kinda really old machine. boleh masuk muzium la dat machine!! wen back home n was advicd to take bed rest.. i was supposed to call in for appoinmnt as d Dr will b back on Sat... n was totally flabbergasted cz he already have 56 pts in q for Sat appmnt... n it was a half day clinic... hmmmmm... so decided to behave my self n take a gud rest till d spotting resolves on its own... o did i just say dat cz i had a mild cleaning session cz my stupid part time maid decided not to answer hr phn..Anyway, baby was behaving well... no spotting...oli cramping now n then.

Dr Appmnt

He said ultrasound was fine.. d baby is developing really well to date.. n d heartbeat is fast.. 184 beats/min.. n he said ther is no bleeding in d uterus fr tm being.. however my placenta is kinda low so probably its d reason i spotted... Gave med for my constipation.. (TQ Dr) hahha!!!! n my nex scan is 3 weeks frm now..

Symptoms
-Insomnia... hungry... less nausea... , increased urination at night, low blood pressure.. tender breast n irritability...skirts getin tighter... hmmm!!!

Emotion
- Very irritated with certain noises. Spcly wen hubby is snoring... felt like throwin a big rock on his head. Dahla susah wana sleep... he adds in wit his DTS sound systm.Happy ... cz hubby got us a new car.. Hubby n his bimmers.... neway, i have to no more experience d backache cz my Waja was addin on to it. I felt dat i cud feel d glow of pregnancy... i pun not sure hw to diffrntiate.. sebab, my skin is much softer n oily. Btr than my dry skin wic was peelin n patchy...

Eclipse


4th Jun 2012  4.48p.m till 9.18p.m was eclipse ... i guess it was lunar eclipse.. Anyway, it was so scary coz i had family members kept on telin me this and dat.. do's n don'ts.. pantang larang la... bal bla bla.. Haiz.. i knw v r not supposed to c d eclipse with naked eyes.. bt, thers too many other superstition dat was bothering me.. i just follwed nevertheles... bukanya rugi apa pun.. juz was super duper cooper hungry... i can hardly find d kata ganda for hungry... but i was really hungry. n d best part, v shud not eat d food cooked b4 d eclipse.. so i had to wait till 9.18p.m to shower n cook. 

Antara Do's n Donts that was told was....

1. No cutting vegetables or anything.. 
2. No sewing
3. No eating n drinking
4. No goin out of d hse..
5. No doin any hse work..
6. Cannot eat food cooked b4 eclipse
7. Altar shud b clossed.
8. No wearing any metal on d body.

Before Eclipse:

1. Wash clothes used for puja and others, your house, temple should be cleaned.
   
2. Bed, Blankets, etc. are to be dusted or exposed to sunlight.
   
3. Food made by mixing flour and water should not be eaten, do not keep drinking water in a pot.
   
4. After Eclipse is over, do not touch clothes before taking bath. So, before eclipse begins, put aside clothes/towel etc. to be used after your bath.
   
5. Prepare the place for worship during eclipse, do not use cotton sheets to sit on, such sheets should be dusted and put away.
   
6. Do not eat during eclipse and vedh (9 hours before Lunar eclipse starts and 12 hours before Solar eclipse starts).
   
7. Put aside other activities and plan to spend time doing Dhun/Kirtan.

During Eclipse:

1. Spend your time doing Dhun/Kirtan, reading/listening scriptures etc.
   
2. Pray to god to protect us from the vices like lust, and anger.

After Eclipse:

1. Take bath/shower with all clothes and then only touch/wear clean clothes.
   
2. Grihasth (Householders) should donate for good causes, Tyagi (Saints) should do puja of God.
   
3. Prepare food for God, offer Him food and take the prasad.
   
4. After taking bath/shower only, one should touch God or do the normal activities.
   

It is desirable to have a temple or an organization arrange Dhun/Kirtan program during the eclipse.

Pregnant women are most delicate people to look after at the time of Surya or Chandra Grahan. Pregnant women should take some precautions to avoid bad effects of Surya Grahana or Chandra Grahana.

• The first and foremost precaution that every pregnant woman has to take is to avoid seeing or looking at the Grahana. Even though, it is visible to naked eye, pregnant women should avoid watching grahana.
• Stay at home and do not go out side during the grahana.
• There is a strong belief in some Hindus that wearing or tightening saree clips, hair clips or any other pins or clips will be inauspicious. Avoid wearing or tightening clips.
• Avoid cutting vegetables or fruits or any other material.
• In some regions, pregnant women avoid sleeping during the Grahana.
• For normal and safe delivery, pregnant women recite Santana Gopala data Mantram and Surya Stotras like Aditya Hridayam and other Surya Mantras, Maha Mritunjaya Stotram.
• Santana Gopala Stotra (a mantra to chant during graham by pregnant women) keeps up the health of the pregnant woman as well as the child (Garbhastha Shishu).

Grass blades (Durva or Garika or Darbha) are kept on stored water and food during the time Grahan. It is not a blind ritual. Its proven scientifically that Grass blades purify the water more than Tulsi (Ocimum) leaves can during Grahanam. Grass blades have immediate purifying power. This is the main reason why grass blades are kept on stored water and food like pickles.

Tulsi (ocimum Basilicum) is treated as the abode of Vishnu- Lakshmi(husband and wife) and as Rahu and Ketu were decapitated by Lord Vishnu, placing Tulsi on eatables protects food from the malefic effects of the radiation caused during the eclipse.

1. Cleaned d hse b4 eclipse... did all d hse work.
2. prepared stuff for cooking.
3. cleaned d altar
4. closed all d windows and curtains.
5. Ate b4 4.48p.m.
6. Kept turmeric water at d entrance for hubby to wash his feet b4 comin into d hse.
7. Once eclipse startd, i chanted d santana gopala mantra and ashtrotam.
8. wait  till 9.18p.m... tuk shower.. started cooking n prayed.
9. Opened all d windows and doors to allow fresh air and sprinkled turmeric water aron d hse.
10. Ate like a pig ... hahha..

Old ppls prediction on baby's gender

Went for a dinner with family over d weekend... i was actually a vege on dat day cz it was Sashti day. I did prayer for murugan n was hopin to eat Idly for dinner... Neway, just joined d family gathering n ordered garlic kai-lan stir fry... i can just eat these stuff with rice..

One of MIL's sister was there n she said i mit be carrying a boy bcz i lukd lethargic.. She said if its a girl, i would glow.. hmmm... old ppls theory...

And during one of d functions, MIL's aunt asked me how is her grandson doin... i asked her, hw did sh knw its a boy.. she said it will deffntly b a boy.. hmmm... olden days ppl biasala alwiz want a boy.... spcly in indian comunity they give lotsa preference to boys cz they get to do d final rites for d parents.. hmmm... Hubby too wants a boy after seeing d noty Sheshan boy... probably during his stay at my hse, he made my husband change his preference to a boy cz he will watch football with him while im doin hsework o cooking... So hubby jz wants a partner to do his activities together...

Now coming back to how i feel.... it really doesnt matter if its a boy o girl... i mean like, it has been a very difficult journey TTC itself... So am glad as long as i have a healthy baby..i dun care if its a boy o girl... s long s i give birth to a fully formed baby... d of coz i did not already decide if he/she is gona do medicine o engineering.... He/she will do anything thy feel its right...hubby once said dat he will send our son to Barcelona to play football.. inspired by Messi.. anyway, i will agree if that is what my son wants... o even if my daughter wana do modelling... s long s they know how to make enug money n a decent living.

I want my child to be a good hearted human being later in life. We will give him/her d best education, love and family values that he/she need truout his/her life.
